Tongariro National Park

My general attitude of "all the gear all the time" tends to leave me questioning if it's really necessary to carry a 10kg backpack full of cameras and lenses everywhere I go (nearly). But on an evening drive back from Auckland to wellington, I'm glad I did. As I drove through the desert road, I saw what I hoped for and spent a peaceful half hour sitting outside my car with my tripod on a windless evening. Shot on my Nikon D610 with my Nikkor 16-35mm with a polarizing filter. f/12, 1/80 sec, ISO 100.

Taranaki Falls

Walking through the bush led to this beauty. Not my best shot, and one I'd love to shoot again sometime, but some labouring in Lightroom left me with a half decent finish. Shot on my Nikon D3300 with an 18-55mm kit lens (ew).
